This amazing book is all about a boy called Karl and he is a clock worker`s apprentice. He has got to make a figure for the clock tower ceremony. Karl did not make a figure then this creepy person called Dr Kalemenius who had made a killing machine and given it to Karl. However, he did not tell Karl that it was a horrible clock work monster. My opinion about the story is that it is an amazing book and it is suitable for all ks2 children as well as adults. It is an intriguing book full of adventures with two stories merging into one which is very fun as well as confusing. It also makes a great scary story for a present. I would recommend this book to Ks2 and up because it will thrill you and keep you on your toes the whole way through the story.

I think the book is very exciting because it includes lots of description by Philip Pullman.It has been a delight to read in the last couple of weeks.

This is a good book for ks2 and is really amazing and I would rate the book four stars. The book Clockwork is like a story within a story within a story within a story. There is a character called Karl (one of the main characters) and he has a cunning plan to use the robot, that Dr. Kalmenius gave him, to kill people. He thought that killing people would give him money. Dr. Kalmenius is the cleverest person in the country because he can even make clockwork children, like Prince Flourian. Read this book and find out who the prince is and his unusual story.

clockwork is such a great book you wouldn't now how exciting it is I would recommend this book for ks 2 you should read this book it is a really enjoyable book .

This book is called'clockwork' but sometimes people call it 'all wound up' it is a mystery story that will never be solved and also a book within a book. It includes clockwork figures, death and dark strangers. It is written by Philph Pullman who includes lots of description with in the book.

Clockwork is about a german town where clocks were invented, one day a clockmakers apprenticeship is over and he has to make a figure for the towns clock tower. He makes a wrong decision and ends up being impaled! It is a fictional thriller with an extrodinary plotline and lovable characters. Clockwork is a fantastic book filled with entruiging moments. once you get into its style, it is mysterious and scary in the best ways. i think this is 5 star rating book.
