The second book of Ally Condie's riveted Matched Trilogy astounds readers once again. Ky has been taken away to certain death. Xander is further from Cassia's heart than ever. Resolved to go after her one true love, Cassia balances on the point of a knife as she tiptoes around the Society's rules into the black market, rebellion group, and everything she's never imagined. Still, though, after she's prepared, Cassia ventures into the dangerous Outer Provinces in search of Ky, knowing that her death—whether from the Society or the deadly residents of the Outer Provinces—is near. Sabotage, food loss, and fatality does little to urge her on, but Cassia has a goal. Meanwhile, the narration switches to Ky as well, who narrates with a fluidity and fervent passion that no one can deny. But when Xander, Cassia's real Match, completely reverses the circumstances with everything riding on him, Cassia's struggle between Ky and Xander is more difficult than ever before. As Ally Condie pulls one over the readers yet again, the last book of her trilogy becomes one of the highly-awaited of the century.

Cassia lives in a perfect world with perfect structure with a perfect government called the Society. She's never once doubted the Society's ability to make the best choices for her...until two Matches flash inexplicably across her screen. The Matching Ceremony is one of the most important events of Cassia's life! It determines who she'll marry based on their personalities. So when Xander Carrow, her best friend, first appears, Cassia is elated. But then, just for a second, Ky Markham's face flashes across the screen before it darkens. The Society assures Cassia that this is a very rare fluke, but she is still haunted by one of the things she has known as forbidden: curiosity. Trying to really love Xander while secretly falling for Ky, Cassia realizes that the Society may not be as infallible as she thought. And all the while, one question is inescapable: is the Society helping her live, or caging her in? This novel perfectly balances rivet and danger while teetering around the unavoidable result: death.

The bomb drops in the electrifying last book of the Matched trilogy by Ally Condie. Narrated by Cassia, Ky, and Xander, who are all now working with the rebellion nicknamed the Rising, the Society's position is more dangerous than ever. A Plague is spreading throughout the Society's cities, and the Rising has the cure. All seems well for the Rising: the cure is the perfect way to win citizens over. But what no one foresees is the Plague's mutation. Suddenly, a concrete cure is nonexistent, and the entire world is thrown into chaos. The Plague spreads like wildfire. The Rising and the Society race to find a cure. People of the Outer Provinces spill back into society. Meanwhile, the main protagonists of the novel are more separated than ever. Ky has fallen deathly ill from the mutated Plague. Battling heartbreak and duty, Xander helps to find a cure for the boyfriend of the girl he loves. And Cassia is a mess. Trying to balance her morals, Ky's life, and hopelessness in the palm of her hand, Cassia must realize that once again, there is more than meets the eye. In the riveting finale to Ally Condie's trilogy, readers will be again amazed at the beauty and shattered glass of this Society-distorted dystopian world.

Just before the big-budget debut film of the Hunger Games releases, Papercutz parodies the first book starring Ratkiss Everspleen and her younger sister Dim. In this rendition of Suzanne Collins' bestselling novel, the Hunger Games are optional, Peeta turns in Peek a Choo, and the world of Panem is flipped upside down. This hilarious parody will have you laughing to the very last page!

girlpower4ever's book review was featured in Aphrodite the Beauty (Goddess Girls).
Aphrodite is one of the most popular girls on campus. She's insightful, stylish, and undoubtedly beautiful—she is the Greek goddess of love and beauty, after all! With everyone vying for her attention all the time, Aphrodite is both flattered and exhausted. Especially when Hephaestus, the short but quietly intelligent god of metalwork, begins to have a huge crush on her. Aphrodite doesn't want to turn him down, but she also knows that she feels way more compatible with Ares, the godboy of war. Meanwhile, Aphrodite receives a sweet and gushy letter from a mortal who wants to win a girl's heart. Can Aphrodite balance her own love life with everyone else's? This zesty and fresh book holds its own flair and is perfect for the most reluctant of female readers!

The first Girl Olympics have begun! After countless instances of persuasion and action, the Goddess Girls have finally convinced Zeus to let them host the Girl Games, under the condition that they are officially called the Heraen Games. Now, the goddessgirls train fiercely for different events. But the first girl games do not start out well.
