Matilda, to me, was an amazing heroine and a strong protagonist in this story. I have always loved eccentric books, and Roald Dahl was one of my favorite authors so when I learned about Matilda I ate the book up. Clever characters were always my favorite, and Matilda was one of the most clever. In the end, I wished this story had a sequel because I thought the story should continue.
This usually isn't the kind of book that I would read, usually it's fantasy, but I really liked this book. Reading this book made me realize what a nice life I have and what loving parents I have. At first I felt sorry for the main character but when he started collecting the birds I really felt happy for him.
I really liked this book, and I have seen many of my friends reading this. I have read the entire series and I think this is a great start to it. I wish Pseudonymous Bosch(whoever he is) would right more books. Cass and Max-Ernest were really funny, quirky characters that tied the book together.
I really loved this book, and I never realized how fake the survivor shows on TV were. It was a really funny book and it showed it's message well, don't believe everything you see. This is one of my favorite Carl Hiaasen books, including Hoot and Flush. In every one of his books he portrays a meaningful message, especially in this one.
