Jessi and the other citizens of Stoneybrook are a excited because Derek Masters, a movie star from Stoneybrook, is coming to stay for a while. But even a movie star needs a babysitter and Jessi is the lucky BSC member to get the job. As Jessi sits for Derek, she realizes that Derek is just a normal kid. But the other kids in Derek's class don't see that. Jessi begins to help Derek fit in and before Jessi knows it, Derek has a couple of friends. But sadly, Derek has to go back to L.A for a movie job but he leaves behind a few friends, a happy babysitter, and a welcome and star-struck community. I like this book because it was fun, inspiring, and had good life lessons. I suggest it for people who like babysitting, movie stars, and books about fitting in. Happy Reading!

Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, and Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, are sent to find two extremely powerful half-bloods in a military school. While trying to escort them to Camp Half-Blood, a manticore appears and ruins their plans. The iconic Hunters of Artemis come to their rescue, and the older of the two half-bloods, Bianca, decides to join them. While Kronos' army starts to build, a new prophecy arises. One that stated that the moon goddess, Artemis, is in danger, both campers and Hunters must unite. I feel that this, out of all five books, was the best. It stands out on its own. It really has depth to it, and I almost cried once or twice. But Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia have to get through it, otherwise the planet will be destroyed. New characters rise and fall, and the whole book is one big roller-coaster ride. This fantasy-mystery book will keep everyone hooked, even the mysterious General.

I loved this book. My sister owns the old BSC books, so I get to read these all the time. Kristy and Stacey are my favorite Babysitters. (But they all are amazing!) Kristy's mother has been through a lot, and Kristy wants to give her the best Mother's Day gift ever. But what? Kirsty has an exciting idea to invite all the kids the BSC girls sit for and have their mom's take a break from their children. With crying kids, sick children, and mischievous boys, the BSC girls have their hands full. Kristy is sure that this is the best surprise for her mother, but little does Kristy and her brothers know, their mother has a surprise of her own! I liked this book because it was exciting, fun, and inspiring. I suggest it for people who like babysitting, friendship, fun books.

Stacey just can't win. Stacey has been a diabetic for a few years and finally it is catching up with her. She begins, secretly, disobey her diets of no sugar and low carbs. Because of her departure of her diet, she begins to feel tired and sick. But she pushes these feelings away so that she can visit her father (her parents are divorced). But it only gets worse. Her father finally takes her to the hospital, and she stays there for a few weeks. The other girls in the BSC are worried. What is wrong with Stacey? *Spoiler Alert* she gets better! I think this one was my favorite BSC book yet. I liked how exciting and interesting it was. It is defiantly a page-turner. I suggest it for people who like friendship, overcoming weaknesses, and exciting books. Happy reading!

Reynard Muldoon, nicknamed Reynie, is an above-average child. Way above-average. Did I forget to mention he is an orphan? He doesn't enjoy watching TV, instead, he likes to talk to his caretaker, Miss Perumal. When a queer advertisement to take a test is found in Miss Perumal's newspaper, she encourages Reynie to try it. He passes the test, but then he discovers there's another one! And another one! And finally he gets to meet the esteemed Mr. Benedict, with his newfound friends, George/Sticky Washington, and Kate Wetherall, who both are above-average, like him. He meets the grumpy Constance, and then Mr. Benedict has an announcement. To protect the sanity of the world, the foursome would have to go to the Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened( L.I.V.E) where Mr. Benedict's evil twin, Mr. Ledroptha Curtain, where they are faced with keeping secrets and going into hiding. By the end of the book, Reynie has to answer the question : Are you brave? (In a metaphorical sense) I adored this book and all the twists never will make it boring. Mr. Stewart has made a creation like none other. If you like mysteries and fantasy, I would definitely recommend this book for you. Even if you don't like either of those genres, still read it! It's extraordinary!

Thrilling and full of adventure. Every thing we know as "real", Rick Riordan associates it with gods.
