Dubbed as one of the most beautiful books ever written, Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic "A Little Princess" revolves around a little girl named Sara Crewe who has everything. Her wardrobes are full to bursting with lavish attire, she is allowed extravagant porcelain dolls to play with, and her father is investing in some diamond mines in India that could make millions. Naturally, when Sara is sent to Miss Minchin's Seminary for Young Ladies, she is treated like royalty and with the utmost respect. In turn, impeccably-mannered Sara becomes a great favorite not only because of her money but because of her kindness. However, when her father dies and the diamond mine deal drains all his money but fails, young Sara Crewe is left with not a thing in the world to call her own except her doll. Forced to become a drudge and work day and night in rags for now-forboding Miss Minchin, Sara is dirty, alone, and worked to the bone. But what no one can take from Sara is her wherewithal, and even in the short little black dress smudged with dirt and torn to rags, Sara is a little princess in a class of her very own.

Stanley Yelnats is always in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it's all thanks to his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather. When a pair of shoes inexplicably fall on Stanley's head, it's the last straw: it turns out that they belong to the famous baseball player Clyde Livingston, who had donated them to the orphanage to be auctioned. In court, Stanley's "they fell out of the sky" reason sounds pretty lame to his own ears, and it does to the court judge, too. He gives Stanley and his parents a choice. Either Stanley serves time or he goes to Camp Green Lake. Stanley was never rich enough to go to camp, so of course, he picks CGL, but it turns out to be beyond his wildest dreams - in the worst way possible. Barely any water, scorching conditions, hostile campmates, selfish camp directors, and having to dig a six-by-six foot hole every day is nothing like the camps Stanley has heard of. But when a miraculous encounter with Zero, a fellow camper, shows that their family lines may have crossed before, Stanley's wrong-place-at-the-wrong-time curse has a chance to be lifted.

Shannon can't remember when Adrienne hasn't been her best friend. They've stuck together since kindergarten! But when Adrienne begins to hang out with Jen, the most popular girl in the grade, Shannon is waging two battles with very risky outcomes. To stay friends with Adrienne, she must join Jen's friend group, but she also doesn't want to lose Adrienne as a best friend. Plus, everyone's always competing to be Jen's BFF. Is it okay for Adrienne to take that spot, or can Shannon snatch it and not undermine her and Adrienne's relationship? The line between real friends and pretend friends blurs as the girl bully, fight, and wage battle to get Jen's attention, Adrienne and Shannon's friendship becomes rocky, and Shannon is stuck in the middle of a full-on girl war. A fresh and very real book about knowing who your true friends are, Shannon Hale's narrative nonfiction graphic novel will have you laughing and crying all at the same time.

The sequel to #1 New York Times Bestselling "Real Friends," Shannon is entering 5th grade. Jen is now not only the most popular girl in the grade but the most popular girl in the whole school! With Adrienne gone, Shannon has nothing stopping her from gaining the spot as Jen's best friend. And when she does, she's thrilled, but it's exhausting having to keep up with the trends and stay popular. Shannon has to remember to stock her and Jen's locker with candy, memorize the hottest songs of the day, beg her mom to watch Simon & Simon and the A-Team on TV, and do countless other things to stay in her position. Worse still, all Shannon's friends are getting boyfriends except her; Jen seems to be drifting from her; Jenny is still being mean to her, and Shannon's confusion spirals to an all-time high. Not to mention, Adrienne comes to visit, but despite them being best friends for years, it seems like she and Shannon share absolutely nothing in common. Can being best friends with the most popular girl in school oust being true to yourself?
