I really liked your review, you were really honest about "factions." And I think I would be in Erudite too. ^-^

Because I enjoyed reading Klein's novel "Ophelia" (another version of Shakespeare's Hamlet), I decided to read her other novels. Historical fiction fascinates me and I was glad to have read this novel as well. "Cate of the Lost Colony" tells the tale of a woman named Catherine (Cate) during the time when women were usually excluded from decision-making. Despite this, throughout the story, Cate is a heroine who is defiant, strong-willed, and outspoken. By entwining history and fiction, Klein created a story that will not be easily forgotten and also reintroduces the mystery of the “Lost Colony of Roanoke."

Divergent is a beautifully written novel with much action and deep meanings. Woven altogether by descriptive, powerful words, it is hard not to enjoy this book. Told from a strong heroine’s point of view, we realize flaws in everything and that not everything claimed to be perfect is what it seems. Roth shows us the meaning of who we truly are and no matter what others may say; our own judgment is what is the most important. It reveals to us the power that individuals may have, not only the leaders. Every character, every person can make that difference in a society. With the addition of a bit of family, friends, and personal relationships, overall, this novel was a great read and thoroughly enjoyable.

Although I first began reading "Of Mice and Men" for school, I truly enjoyed the book. The story is set during the Great Depression and tells the tale of two very contrasting men. Steinbeck focuses on the American Dream, the social ideals of Americans as well as the negative and positive effects of hope. "Of Mice and Men" is a sentimental novelette that has captured Steinbeck's audiences.
