It was good. I liked the cover art and I liked how it took place in Brazil!! Lea finally conquers her fear and gets in the water and takes awesome photos for her class to see!

I would like to win the Land of Stories books because I believe that stories can change somebody's life. The classic stories and fairy tales incorporated into these books have spread throughout the entire world to touch the lives of children and adults everywhere. Good stories teach us how to be. They teach us to always fight for what's right because good always wins in the end. Countless heroes and heroines have inspired children everywhere to rise up and fight for the truth and fight the good fight. I believe that if I won these books I would be inspired to keep on fighting for what's right. I wish good luck to everyone else who enters! And thank you for the opportunity DOGO.

Candymaking is all fun and sweets until mystery ensues. Follow along the story through the eyes of four different canymakers. All with something different to bring to the table. And pay close attention to what they tell you and also what they don't. For each person's viewpoints are a piece to the puzzle and until the puzzle is complete the mystery will not be solved.

This book was simply perfect! I loved reading and couldn't put it down because I always wanted to find out what was going to happen next. It was super surprising and unpredictable. Wendy Mass really thought of every detail and wove all of the characters' stories together to create one amazing book!

This book was so interesting! How crazy for kids to live in a boxcar! The end is wonderful when their grandfather adopts them. I definitely recommend this!

I think that The Candymakers is an exciting and unpredictable book. There are so many surprising twists. Wendy Mass is a very admirable author, and I enjoy reading her stories.

Several years ago I came across a book series about a girl growing up during the time period of World War II. I read all of the books multiple times and soon it became one of my top favorite series. At the end of each book there was a section that would tell more about WWII and what it was like to grow up during the 1940s. I soon began to research more and more about the time period, through reading nonfiction books as well as online resources, because it was all so interesting to me. Since then I have been looking for another good book about that time period but I haven't found any that are as interesting as "The Boy at the Top of the Mountain" seems to be. I would very much like to read it, not only to continue my learning about WWII but to enjoy a good story at the same time. I personally believe that when you can couple enjoyment with education it makes the knowledge much more memorable and accessible in the future. And as WWII is such a vital piece of history not only to America, but to the entire world, knowing more and more about it would truly be exceptional. I also believe that learning more about times of war can better help us appreciate times of peace. By reading this book I believe that I can learn more about WWII as it took place in Europe, to expand my knowledge. That is why I would like to win "The Boy at the Top of the Mountain".
