I originally had to read this book as a summer assignment for a class, but once I opened it, I simply couldn't put it down. From the start, you're immersed in O'Brien's world. At the time, he's a young man with his whole life ahead of him, sent to fight in the war in Vietnam. Through each of his stories, you're able to paint a picture of everyone he knew, the ones they loved and the ones they lost. Perhaps one of the most accurate depictions of life as a war veteran and an eye-opening recollection on American values, 'The Things They Carried' will make you experience a wide range of emotions, all the while rejuvenating your inner sense of patriotism.Over 4 years agobigmelo has joined a reading program.

After being fascinated with animals that have broken records and brought new heights to the online community, it would be amazing to see more in-depth animals and the abilities they have begun to achieve as they continuously adapt to human society. As more animals begin to be taught different tricks, I would be absolutely grateful to win this book. It looks really fun and factual to share with my friends. While conversating with my friends and family it would be really impressive to show them the animals that have changed the world based on what I have read. I love reading, especially National Geographic books that hold a lot of knowledge yet funny facts! Thank you! With hopeful consideration, madimin05.Over 4 years agobekahboo added a news bookmark.
