This book is incredible. It is about a poor slave girl Mara in egypt, who is very smart, and speaks both egyptian and babylonian. For that very reason a mysterious man buys her from her previous owner, telling her that if she serves him as a spy, rooting out the rebels that are fighting against the queen, then he will set her free. Mara has dreamed of freedom all of her life, and will do anything to gain it, but as she goes undercover she finds herself tangled in an astonishing web of politics, treason, and worst of all, love. Mara is now playing double spy, working for both sides, but sooner or later she has to choose what means more to her, freedom for herself, or for all of egypt. This book was so good I couldn't put it down. I love how quick-witted Mara is, and the choices she are faced with are Incredible! It deserves a five star rating for sure. The author got me rooting for the main characters at the start.Almost 4 years agonac added a book review.
When two kids explore the woods around their summer house they discover a land lost to time. A small village, two old inhabitants, and a gone away lake that is all a testimony of times lost, but as they keep going back their secret becomes harder to keep, and they wonder if they will be able to keep the village untouched by time.... It was an interesting story, and I liked how things were untouched by time. It was pretty cool.Almost 4 years agonac's book review was featured in Bonanza Girl.
Katherine and her brother Jemmy are surprised when there widowed mother decides to move the family to california to teach. As excited as they are about the life of living near the gold mines, their adventures are far beyond what any of them could have imagined. Such as a stubborn mule, a man with a grudge, unexpected fortune, and opening a restaurant for hungry miners, but Katherine and Jemmy are sure of one thing, the frontier is home sweet home. I liked this story because it had me laughing every chapter. All the funny experiences they go through make the book hilarious and fun to read.Almost 4 years agonac added a book review.

Emily loves to read. She can't get enough books in her small town, But her imagination sometimes has a mind of its own. She knows she can change their small little town with a little touch of imagination- as long as it doesn't get carried away. Emily is very funny, and has a very big imagination, which reminds me of my own self.Almost 4 years ago
