Well, just because it has sharp teeth doesn't mean it ate meat. Panda bears have sharp teeth but they are plant eaters. Same as pigs, hippos, even horses have sharp teeth! There is even a deer called a water deer with sabortooth teeth but they don't eat meat! So they may have not actually eaten plants.
