This is a book about Grubb the son of Alastair Grim. Alastair Grim lives in the Odditorium and collects odditaria. In the book there is a super evil guy named Prince Nightshade. Grubb and his father have to defeat Prince Nightshade and save the day. Even though I thought the story was slow, I liked the illustrations. My favorite character was Gwendelyn. If you like stories about magic, this book is for you.

I really loved this book. It is about Miri. In the book, Miri lives on a mountain. Everything is normal until an academy is opened for girls and the prince will chose one of the girls that attends the academy to be his future bride. But Miri’s Sister Marda is too old to go to the academy. So Miri feels really alone in the academy because Marda is too old to go to the academy. The other girls are not that nice to Miri. All the girls want the prince to choose his future bride. They are all hoping he will pick them. I really loved this book. I highly recommend it. I am already reading the second book.

Tomb Quest by Michael North is a interesting book. It is about Aleks and Ren who are searching for Aleks’s mom and the lost spells. I wasn’t a fan of the ending because it was cliffhanger and I don’t like having to wait for the next book to find out if someone is going to die or not. The middle of the book however, was very gripping. I like how there was a powerful girl in this book. I liked the idea of stones coming life and lost spells. Overall, I would recommend this book.
