I read this front & back many times. I enjoyed the illustrations (who doesn't love a novel with some pictures?). I would recommend this book to others who like Rafe's exciting and rollercoaster life. The reason I rated it 3 stars was simply because it just wasn't for me. I love fantasy and books with dogs in it. This book, however, is realistic fiction. I have no problem with that, but this book had too much ''family drama'' and ''bad kid'' vibes. To me, that does not make the story enjoyable but kinda depressing and annoyed. Maybe you'll love this book, but this was not my taste at all.Over 4 years agowolfdog added a new comment in

Scary experience, but what a story to tell. ''A walrus sank our boat and we had to swim in -2 degree water''!Over 4 years agowolfdogliked a comment in Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve Is Home To An Adorable Polka-Dotted Zebra Foal.
If this zebra has survived for this long already, I'm sure it'll have a good chance at growing up. Unlike an albino zebra, the melanistic foal's coat offers SOME sort of camouflage, and it is similar to an okapi's or baby Tapir's color. Your average black-and-white zebra has no camouflage, but relies on forming herds to confuse predators. Since zebras are highly social creatures, the foal will stand out, but if given the chance to hide in a lot of forested areas, it will blend right in because its black coat will act as the shadows, while its white spots will act like the ''sunlight'' on the forest floor. Not very good camo in a savannah, but in Africa's jungles it will be perfect. Let's just hope a poacher doesn't come looking for this poor foal because all too often beautiful animals that stand out will fall to a greedy poacher.Over 4 years agowolfdog replied to a comment in
Soon we'll look back at the first image of a black hole and say, ''wow, it came out so blurry!'' Technology is always improving and I hope to see more images of a black hole (indirectly, at least).Over 4 years agowolfdog replied to a comment in
