This is book is so awesome! It caught my eye in the library because I love the Judy Moody books. I think that Stink is as funny as Judy. I like this book. It is simply hilarious! I was laughing at every page turner. I won't spoil it with any specifics, but if you like comics or a kid who writes comics then I think you will love, Love, LOve, LOVe, LOVE this book!

Okay, so I read and reviewed the first of the series of the Stink books, and I just had to get the second one to see if Stink was just a one hit wonder. The author did not let me down. This is book is also so awesome! Stink kept me laughing as he wrote letters to companies about errors in their advertisement. It reminded me of my dad soooo much! And guess, what? He received free stuff back from the companies that he wrote! I know what I'm going to do this summer!

You have to love to love Jessie! She is like the most mature preteen! I really enjoyed how she protects her younger siblings and even her older brother in the story. She is strong and independent. I don't know if I will read another book in this series as the mystery was an easy read. Something to think about.

unicornbrain's movie review was featured in Mary Poppins.
Well, I read the book first and the book was fantastic! The movie does a pretty good job introducing the characters. but the movie isn't too much like the book. Though I really enjoyed Julie Andrews' singing and thought it was so cool that my favorite song from the movie was actually NOT in the book, but was written just for the movie. Can you guess which song that is? Mary Poppins is not jolly or nice in the book like she is in the movie. The kinder Poppins likes Jane and Michael and makes for a fairy tale ending movie, which is nice. I would have like to see a closer book to movie relationship, but it was ok to watch.

I read 101 Dalmatians last year and wanted to watch the sequel film. It was a good movie if you are a dog lover/animal lover like me! But the characters are a little bit boring.

Nikki is a girl that I thought would be similar to me because I home school and was thinking about going to a private school. The book is a good idea, but I do not like the way Nikki writes about herself and her parents in the diary. I wish she had more of the dorkiness of someone beyond awesome! I could not connect with Nikki. Nikki is boy crazy and is always wanting stuff. If she is smart, she makes us look bad. The words were sometimes really confusing, mean and hurtful. Not a book I will read the others in the series.

This book is about a girl named Lucinda who decides to live a year on roller skates in New York. Now that sounds so awesome! Even though her story is in the 1890's and New York is not the great city of today, it is a page after page of intrigue and adventures for Lucinda. Her story starts off with her parents having to leave her with an aunt that isn't too happy to have her stay a whole year with her. Who in your family would want you to stay for an entire year? I think my Aunt would since I am just like her! It is not all fun and games so far for Lucinda, but she meets some interesting people. I like that she has a mind of her own and makes friends with people that are of a different culture than her.
