I. ABSOLUTELY. LOVE. GREEK. MYTHOLOGY!!! The Zeus series is one of my favorite and I can not wait to share it with my cousins and my pet hamster. Well, my pet hamster is not a real hamster but I am will still share it with her! I am also starting a book share at my school with girls who have been or are being bullied. So instead of sitting by themselves at lunch or after-school, they can share books and sit together. I can't wait to see the read Zeus' new adventures!Over 2 years agounicornbrain has read this book.

I am a true DH NG fan! I have a great growing library that I share with my cousins and friends. One of my friends is moving away so as much as I would like this book for myself, if I win one, I will gift it to my friend so she can start her own library. NG is a fun way for me to meet new friends and connect. I know she would love it as much as I would.Over 2 years agounicornbrain added a new comment in
National Geographic has done it again! The Cutest Animals on the Planet is a must have for any animal lover-such as me. This book would also become a part of my shared library that I am creating and reading to my younger sister Girl Scouts to teach them how important animals are and to help them earn their Red Robin Award. I am an NG enthusiast and have several NG books that I love and read and reread over and over again. I would be over the moon, like the cow in "Hey Diddle, Diddle" if I am able to win a copy of this book.About 3 years agounicornbrain has read this book.

This series is starting to grow on me as I am a big NG fan. Some of the mystery is not too hard to figure out, but the adventures and challenges in the series are really cool. I don't own a copy and would like to start building the series in my library. Books 1-4 are on my wish list, too! Fun to read and tons of action.Over 3 years agounicornbrainliked a comment in The Ickabog.
Once upon a time in Cornucopia, a country rich with gold and fine, delicate foods, lived two friends, Bert and Daisy, who, along with their families and neighbors, loved the favorable Fearless King Fred. Their lives in Cornucopia, however, were peppered with the legend of a horrid beast living amidst the marsh. Some say myth. Some say truth. Either way, the Ickabog casted a shadow over the kingdom. The joys of Cornucopia were not shaken after a shepherd reports his dog being devoured by the Ickabog. But when King Fred and his army vow to hunt the Ickabog and bring vengeance, a horrible accident turns the myth of the Ickabog into a shocking reality. Secrets, lies, and deception are mixed together and become a new recipe for the characters to create a delicious plot twist, revealing the true antagonist. Is King Fred truly fearless? How will two friends Daisy and Bert, once separated, find each other and help solve the mystery of the Ickabog? With each chapter leading to a new cliff hanger, J.K. Rowling has written a page turner so that you may find yourself reading the entire book in one sitting! I enjoyed reading about the unbreakable spirits and friendships of the people of Cornucopia. Rowling brings the flare of "Redwall" into "The Ickabog" making this a book that stands apart from "Harry Potter" all on its own.Over 3 years agounicornbrainliked a comment in The Ickabog.
