Sandy is distraught when, having saved Flipper by pulling out a spear, his father insists the dolphin be released. A grateful Flipper, however, returns the favor when Sandy is threatened by sharks.

Flipper is an action-packed and warm-hearted family adventure that centers around 13 year old Sandy Ricks and his newfound friendship in a dolphin named Flipper. After a hurricane hits the town Sandy discovers a dolphin that has been caught in a net and hit with a harpoon. Sandy rescues the dolphin, naming it Flipper. Sandy's dad does not approve but when Flipper saves Sandy from sharks, everybody realizes what a true hero, and a true friend, Flipper really is.
