"Let me first congratulate you on your excellent choice of skipper. Of all the skippers in the Amazon is one is undoubtable the cheapest." ~ Frank Wolff. I absolutely LOVED this movie! It was hilarious, fun to watch, and inspiring. The music is wonderful, full of life and energy! Dr. Lily Houghton, played by Emily Blunt, along with her little brother Macgregor, set out to find the very coveted ancient tree that is found in the Amazon. If able to find it, Lily will be able to advance medicine in a whole new way. But in order to make the dangerous journey, Lily and Macgregor must ask for a skipper to guide them. Frank Wolff, a clever, pun-filled sea captain who is played by Dawyne Johnson (The Rock), is just the man for the job. But there's secrets buried deep in the Amazon waters that might put to crew in danger. I loved this movie so much; I could stop watching it. It was like none other movie I have ever watched. It's rated PG-13 but I would not let stop you from watching this splendid film. This movie is more thrilling than scary. Disney did a wonderful job of keeping your mind sharp and thinking all through the movie, not to mention the hilarious jokes sprinkled in the film. The movie would be scary if jokes were not in the movie, much like "Pirates and the Caribbean". Emily Blunt and The Rock are a wonderful pair, both brilliant actors. This movie is just wonderful; full of skipper jokes, thrilling scenes, and elaborate friendship and bravery. Also, the music is amazing! I thought this movie was great for an amazing family night; one that the whole family would like. I suggest this movie is you like watching adventure, comedy, family, friendship, and mysteries.
