Rachel, a skilled sculptor and art teacher, has had trouble finding the “perfect man”. Finally, after years of being disappointed by men that didn’t meet her high standards, Rachel decides to sculpt her ideal man. Clay, the name of her sculpture, is kind, caring, a great cook, and well, perfect! But when Rachel places a magic amulet on Clay that promises to bring him to life, she is reluctant that it will work. But sure enough, the next day, sculpture Clay comes to life. Being everything she wanted him to be, Rachel falls quickly for Clay. But along the way, Rachel begins to wonder if her ideal man is really the man for her. Or do the imperfections of a man make them special? I had my doubts about this movie and although it was not my favorite Hallmark, I do think the moral lesson was perfect. The movie stresses the point that imperfection isn’t bad. In fact, our imperfections make us who we are. I really liked that this movie was honest. Although this movie was a little, um, crude, I still think the overall message was spot on. This movie would be great for someone that likes watching romance and comedy. Happy watching!
