Maleficent (2014)
A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. She rises to be the land's fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal – an act that begins to turn her heart into stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading King's successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom – and to Maleficent's true happiness as well.

Creepy yet cool. Angelina Jolie who stars as Maleficent really takes on the part well. I think This movie may be a little too scary for younger kids, but perfect for kids 9+.

I just watched this today! It's AWESOME!!! I love it! Here's my review of it: It is very clean, no naughty words, no swear/ cuss words, no "Potty mouth" (So in other words, very clean language) There IS killing and there IS violence, so be careful when taking little kids to this movie. It is a little dark, but it is done beautifully! All of it looks so realistic! No fake stuff, it all looks very real! Maleficent is very funny and good-natured, but she has been betrayed and is angry. This is a total twist and it has a similar thing to Disney Frozen. (For those who have watched Frozen, you'll know what I'm saying) The characters were wonderfully chosen, the film is smooth and dramatic and suspensful and over all, I suggest you watch it! However, it IS scary for little kids! I went with my siblings (One ten years old and one twelve) and we were okay with it. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!
