Upon returning home for the holidays, BFFs and successful app co-founders Naomi and Liz are ready to make the most of their festive break. Naomi, a bit of a wallflower, is yearning to break free and make a life of her own. Liz, an independent woman with clear goals, wants to put her disastrous high school career behind her. But their plans go awry when they run into their old high school crush, Chris Silver. And Chris isn't the only blast from the past – the girls reconnect with a whole bunch of their high school buddies. Amidst rekindled feelings for their high school crush, Liz and Naomi find themselves in a tricky love triangle with Chris, causing some serious friction between the friends. As time passes and the girls drift further apart, Naomi and Liz take some much-needed time to figure out what they really want in life, even if it means going their separate ways. I was really excited to watch this movie. I was practically eager for the funny dialogue that the trailer promised. Unfortunately, this movie just didn't quite hit the mark for me. While there were some witty remarks and inspiring scenes, I was left feeling pretty confused and disappointed. I kept searching for the holiday spirit and romantic comedy that I love so much in Hallmark movies, but it just never really materialized. That being said, I did keep guessing until the very end. And I found the goals and aspirations of Naomi and Liz to be relatable, and their way of conquering their fears was inspiring. Overall, while not what I was expecting or hoping for, this movie did have some redeeming qualities. Happy watching!
