The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
Peter Parker is an outcast high schooler abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

spider2001almost 8 yearsThis is my favorite Spider-Man movie. I felt that actor Andrew Garfield did an exceptional job as the Wall-Crawler. I liked this film better than the previous incarnations of Spider-Man. With a spectacular cast, and amazing special effects, The Amazing Spider-Man will keep you on the edge of your seat! However, I wasn't as crazy for the sequel, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." For example, I felt that the story line and plot of the first film in the franchise was incredible, where the second one seemed to be lacking something. However, I wish they would've continued the series, because I would've been intrigued in seeing where this franchise could have gone. Although, I did very much enjoy the new Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War!" I can't wait for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" to come out next year!
