If you don’t like movies that are very different from the book then you should not watch this movie. The movie The Giver is different from the book a lot in many ways that negativity effect the movie. The movie is very rushed and skips a lot of details that are in the book. The futuristic setting is also very unnecessary and there are unnecessary action scenes that don’t add much to the story. They added things that don’t need to be in the movie and don’t move the plot forward. The movie did not meet my expectations and was very disappointing. I think that if you want to see a movie like the book then don’t watch this.

The novel, The Giver and the movie it was a huge difference between both stories, but what I think is that the film is better then the novel itself.

The Giver movie compared to the giver book is a big difference and in my opinion I think that the book was way better than the movie. There is a different things in the movie like the ages of the character and important parts that were in the book weren’t in the movie. I feel like everything in the being of the movie escalated to quickly. The main idea of the movie is that Jonas is that Jonas start to realize/learn a lot about the community from the giver. He learns that the elders are hiding things from the community that are supposed to keep them safe but are actual hiding something from them that makes feel amazing which is love. I do not recommend the movie because it cuts out some important details. But I do recommend the novel/book because you do get a better understanding of what gonna happen and a what’s happening at that moment.

The Giver was pretty rushed compared to the book.Everything that took hours to read already happened in the first 20 minutes of the movie. The part that caught my eye was when jonnas jumped off the land and everyone thought he died but he actually lived.Another part that really pushed the limits was when Jonas told Feona to not take her morning shots for she can feel love.I recommend you if you have to pay to watch the move not to but if it’s free go ahead watch it it’s still a decent movie, but if you have the time to read the book I recommend you to read the book instead.

The movie, The Giver, is a film based off of the book The Giver. Jonas is the main character who has been assigned the position of receiver. As he starts to learn things he has never learned before, he starts to feel, different. I believe that this movie is intriguing but it is a little different than the book. The soundtrack makes you feel how the characters feel, the special effects aren’t amazing but they aren’t bad. My favorite scene is when he teaches others how to feel feelings. You should see this movie. The only other parts I don’t like about it is that it’s not like the book. If that’s the only reason you're seeing it, then you may want to rethink your decision. I would give this 4 stars.

The Giver is a kid named Jonas who is given a assignment, the reviser of memory. The community doesn’t feel love and has a precision of language, and if they have any contact with each other they are release to elsewhere. The movies is fantastic I love it. Jonas and Fiona together fighting for Jonas to give everyone the memories how life is and color.

The Giver movie and the book are very different. The movie is missing many key details that help you learn the characters. The movie has a lot of import features changes or removed that affect the character development and it really hurts the movie. The plot is the same but the numbers, time period, and assignments are changed. I recommend reading the book before watching the movie so you can experience the true parts of the book and not just the movie. Overall I think the movie is bad compared to the book and I wish they wouldn’t have skipped such important parts of the story.

Full of suspenseful scenes, this movie is well recommended. If your into fantasy movies, this ones for you! Throughout the movie, there are main characters such as Jonas and Fiona who fall for each other. Jonas also earns a big roll in their utopia and decides he will save Gabe by taking him to elsewhere, with some trouble on the way. Jonas’s character plays the role of a hero. This movie has many different scenes in all ways. The memories that the Giver inherits into Jonas are not at all similar too how the movie is. Personally, the movie is recommended for adults more than children.

The Giver movie definitely had some potential, but personally I prefer the book. The movie skipped way too many detailed and rushed directly into the Ceremony of Twelve. If I hadn’t read the book beforehand, I wouldn’t have understood what was happening. The music and acting were good, but there were too many alterations made for the movie to really resemble the events and characters of the book. The book focuses more on Jonas’s love interest rather than his plan to escape, the way the book did. The movie should have focused on Jonas’s change in perspective when he began to realize his “perfect community” isn’t what he thought it was. One thing I did like was that the movie gave a solid conclusion, unlike the book. Overall, the movie is a good watch for someone who’s read the book. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it.
